Distance : 10 km

Time : 4 – 5 hours

The hike begins at Steinbergdalen Tourist Station and ascends the northern hillside. Further up you are rewarded with a fantastic view of Stemmerdalen Valley. The trail leads to Sauavddalen Valley alongside the Grøna River.

Transport : Bus from Østerbø to Steinbergdalen valley or hike the trail from Østerbø to Steinbergdalen and catch the bus back.

Time : 7 – 8 hours

Transport : Bus from Østerbø to the west side of the Geiteryggstunnelen tunnell. Hike on the gravel road for 3 km until you reach the Geiteryggshytta cabin. Follow the marked trail from there to Steinbergdalen valley and Østerbø.

Time: 3-4 days

Catch the train to Finse and explore a 3-4 day adventure to Østerbø. Stay overnight at Finse 1222 or the Finsehytta DNT cabin. This route has many alternatives. Ask us for options.

The hike begins on the gravel road next to our lodge. When you see the sign “Langedalen” you turn right and follow the trail along the river.
