Østerbø Fjellstove (820 m.a.s.l) is an idyllic Norwegian resort in the heart of the Aurland mountains. It is a natural stopping point between Oslo and Bergen along main road 50. Fjellstove is situated close to Nærøyfjorden, Sognefjorden, Flåm with the Flåm railway, Stegastein and Borgund stavkirke.

We offer an authentic taste of Norwegian mountain life, and welcomes visitors from all around the world to relax in comfortable rooms, enjoy traditional Norwegian meals and sosialize its cosy “Peisestover” or fireplace rooms.

For an unforgettable experience, we encourage our guests to hike down Aurlandsdalen (Aurland Valley) which contains some of the most spectacular and well known views in all of Norway. Østerbø Fjellstove is the starting point for the hike from Østerbø to Vassbygdi which is the last part of DNT`s 3-day hike through Aurlandsdalen starting at Finse. You can choose to go from cabin to cabin or to use us as a base for day trips.

The mountain lodge has 16 doublerooms – hotelstandard, 36 mountain lodge rooms – both double and family rooms, 12 well equipped cabins and a camping site. We can also offer 4 new high standard apartments.
