Fishing in mountain lakes

The area surrounding Østerbø offers many an opertunity for fishing in different mountain lakes. We sell fishing permits and help you find a lake to try your luck. By the Aurlandsvatnet lake, we keep a small boat available to rent for our guests.

The municipality of Aurland has 6 privately owned zones for fishing, all avaialble through one fishing permit. This permit covers over 200 lakes and rivers/creeks. It is also possible to buy a single zone permit - Østerbø Fjellstove is part of zone number 4.
